DAVIS, Calif. (August 31, 2009) – AgraQuest Inc., a leading provider of highly effective fungicides and insecticides that enhance crop productivity in agriculture, today announced the release of a new compatibility guide for its REQUIEM product, a new EC-formulated insecticide launched in the U.S. earlier this year, as well as a supplemental label which provides more detailed information on how to use REQUIEM in grapes, tree nuts, cucurbits and fruiting vegetables.
“REQUIEM offers growers a very effective tool for managing whiteflies, thrips and mites in high-value trees, vines, fruits and vegetables and has been sprayed on numerous farms and acres across the U.S. since its launch,” said Dennis Long, AgraQuest’s Technical Manager for Insecticides. “AgraQuest is committed to providing growers in-field support and detailed information so that they can understand how to best utilize REQUIEM among the other products in their programs to maximize its benefit. REQUIEM is compatible with a wide variety of insecticides and fungicides. However, as is often found with EC-formulated products, REQUIEM can exacerbate the crop damage potential of other products in the tank or program. For example, REQUIEM should not be used with products containing the active ingredient captan, either in tank mixtures or in rotational programs. Additionally, growers should not use REQUIEM in tank mixture combinations or in rotation with any product containing a label warning against using surfactants, methylated seed oils, oils, or other adjuvants.
