DAVIS, Calif. (Mar. 21, 2008) – AgraQuest Inc., a leading provider of effective and safe pest management products, announced today that it has received approval of a Canadian label for its biofungicide SERENADE® ASO for use in the agriculture market. SERENADE ASO will be available immediately through UAP Canada.
“The introduction of SERENADE ASO is an excellent complement to the products that AgraQuest has launched in Canada recently” said Chris Coombs, V.P. North America for AgraQuest. “It provides growers an effective tool against a number of common diseases found in Canada”
SERENADE ASO is labeled in Canada on a variety of crops and crop groups for diseases including Powdery and Downy Mildew, Gray Mold and Botrytis Blight. SERENADE ASO is an aqueous suspension (liquid) formulation and is derived from a naturally occurring bacterium, Bacillus subtilis. Its biological nature offers growers an effective, yet safe, alternative to traditional synthetic chemistries.
SERENADE ASO has a zero-day pre-harvest interval and a four-hour restricted entry interval providing growers minimal interruption following sprays. SERENADE ASO joins SERENADE MAX and RHAPSODY ASO as products being offered to the Canadian market by AgraQuest.
